Transforming Librarians' Roles

An excellent article from David Stuart at Research Information advocating programing skills for the virtual library. His view htat "the traditional vision of the library as a provider of physical documents has been superseded by the library as a provider of access to information – virtual and physical" is right on the money. Among the skills he advocates are the use of APIs and mashups.
